Our Work Matters

Experience the Calm by Design™ framework: a sophisticated approach to inclusive event design.
The world’s most successful events aren’t the loudest, they are the most thoughtful. Our Calm by Design™ framework transforms festivals, conferences, and workplaces into inclusive, sensory sanctuaries. We help you move beyond the basics to create environments where neurodivergent and sensory-sensitive attendees and crew members can breathe, belong, and flourish.

Inclusive Design is Smart Business.
Neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD, Autism, and Dyslexia, represent 1 in 4 people, with even higher concentrations in tech and the creative industries. Inclusive event design isn’t just an ethical choice; it’s a strategic advantage. When your event works for the 25% who experience the world differently, it works better for everyone.

Beyond Accessibility: True Belonging
What is a “thoughtful upgrade” for some is essential for those with Autism, ADHD, or Dyslexia. We replace the friction of relentless noise and crowds with intentional “sensory sanctuaries,” moving your brand from basic compliance to genuine belonging.

CALM NEST SPACES®

We design and install sensory-friendly quiet rooms and calm zones, for workplaces, events, and public spaces where people can step away, reset, and return fully recharged.

INCLUSIVE EVENT DESIGN

Most events are designed for one type of brain. We change that. Our Calm by Design™ framework helps organisers build inclusive events, covering everything from sensory spaces to on-the-day accessibility support.

NEUROINCLUSIVE CULTURE

True belonging is built into your DNA. We partner with you to refine internal workflows and communication styles, ensuring your team is equipped to support diverse sensory needs. A shift toward a culture of genuine psychological safety.

20% OF YOUR AUDIENCE

1 in 5 people are neurodivergent and many more are undiagnosed.

THE SENSORY GAP

85% of this community avoids events due to sensory overwhelm.

A HIDDEN DEMOGRAPHIC

1 in 10 UK adults are navigating these spaces without a formal diagnosis.

THE WELLBEING PRIORITY

Sensory safety reduces the significant mental health strain often felt at events.

What are Calm Nest Spaces®

Ever wonder how our senses shape everything we feel and do? From sights and sounds to touch and scents, they’re key to balancing emotions, mood, and daily calm, especially in our ever busy world.
That’s where sensory rooms come in: thoughtfully crafted havens that spark your senses for real therapeutic relief. Born in the 1970s, these sensory-friendly spaces now thrive in schools, hospitals, events, and offices, think interactive play zones for kids’ growth or quiet calming rooms for stress reset.
In short, a sensory room is your personal retreat: step away from the chaos, reconnect through gentle sensory cues, and hit refresh on your wellbeing.

“Stepping into the space created by Calm Nest Collective was like entering a sanctuary of mindfulness and intention. Every detail radiated a sense of calm and purpose.
It was an experience that fostered connection, creativity, and a deep sense of presence and left an lasting impact on my way of participating in the event.”

Neža brezovnik, conventa

“I visited the Calm Nest at Conventa 2025, and it was such a great experience. It was the perfect spot to take a break from all the hustle and bustle of the event. As soon as I stepped in, I felt instantly more relaxed. The dark and quiet setup was just right for unwinding and recharging. I’d recommend it to anyone who needs a moment to breathe during a busy event. I’ll definitely look out for it again!”

PHILIP WEIDENHILLER, EVENTUS

“Visiting the sensory room at Calm Nest Collective during Conventa 2025 was a truly unique experience. Amid the energetic and somewhat chaotic atmosphere of the event, stepping into a space with soothing sounds, soft seating, and dimmed lights felt incredibly therapeutic. It provided a much-needed moment of calm, helping me reset and recharge from the overstimulation.”

aleksandra petrovska, conventa

“You don’t have to be super sensitive to feel overwhelmed at a trade fair, entering a big conference or just any room filled with strangers, being exposed to numerous stimuli, that are competing to catch your attention.
What if a one of the trade fair booths would offer – lets say an oasis of calmness and peace? A retreat for the nerves, where the rules of the fair ground are set upside down: no unwanted approaches, not attention grabbing, just you, a decent cup of tea and the chance for a some minutes of reflection, detox and mindfulness?
Thank you, for the proof of concept!”

anne seubert, brands & places

“As someone who tends to feel anxious and easily overwhelmed, I truly appreciated visiting the Calm Nest Space once again. The concept of having a safe, quiet retreat in the middle of a large trade show is simply wonderful. The 15 minutes I spent there sitting comfortably, listening to nature sounds through the headphones, and resting my eyes, made a remarkable difference. It allowed me to reset, recharge, and return to the event feeling calm, focused, and ready for the rest of the day.”

Alexandra petrovska, Conventa

“For the first time, I discovered that even in a dynamic business environment, full of noise and fast-paced action, there can be a space for retreat and inner peace. The moment I stepped into your oasis of calm, I immediately felt a sense of calm, connection with myself and mental clarity. This brief escape allowed me to reflect on events, interactions and business opportunities from a different perspective and embrace them with greater wisdom.
Every company should have a space like this, as it encourages thoughtful decision-making even in a fast-paced work environment. I see a short retreat as a valuable opportunity to reach a new state of awareness that leads to wiser solutions and more deliberate actions.”

MAJA KOŽELJ, SAVA RE D.D.

“Sometimes you don’t realise how much you need something until you actually have it. That’s exactly how the Calm Nest space felt to me. In the middle of all the noise, networking, and rushing around, it was a place to slow down, breathe, and just be for a moment.
I really hope Calm Nest Collective becomes part of more events. Having a quiet, comforting space to reset makes it so much easier to ground yourself before going back into action.”

“The Quiet Room was a wonderful success. The space felt incredibly welcoming, thoughtfully put together, and accessible to all. The variety of furniture, fidget toys, and calming elements created a genuinely soothing environment that attendees really appreciated. It was also very well used, with over 100 people visiting across the two show days. We were delighted with how positively it was received, and it truly felt like the start of what we hope will be a long-lasting relationship.  Calm Nest were fantastic to work with throughout the process. Your communication was always quick and helpful, and you took full ownership of the setup and delivery, ensuring everything was in place and ready for opening right on time. We couldn’t have asked for a smoother collaboration. Thanks again for your work and care on this project.”
